i have 26x12x12 STU blaster pros that i cut every other paddle off to make them 8 paddle. i mounted them on my 12x8 OMF beadlocks.

i also have some cheap molded far east brand 26x12x12 16 paddle tires mounted on some 12x10 wheels i use for the Cinders in Flagstaff.

i ran both tires at 5psi and at the same places in Glamis this last weekend. the difference in wheel width did not really appear to make the tires any wider or taller.

now i have a larger rear sproket than the stock SR1 kit on my car and definetly have lots more low end and gave up some topend. i am running a 68 rear sproket and a 14 front. but dunning i was able to keep it in 2nd and 3rd most of the time with 4th in the big bowls.

the 8 paddle tires were a little looser in corners and at high speeds but not soo loose that i felt unsafe at high speeds. the 16 paddle tires definately hooked up more but not soo much i could not spin them at take off easily.

i ran the right side of Olds hill with the 8 paddle tires and did 53.9mph and the flat area at 77mph.

the same runs with the 16 paddle tires i did 48.6mph uphill and 75mph on the flat.
