RZRXP 900 - Coolant Leak

Cisco Kid

Puro Corazon - UTVUnderground La Famila
Before my 1st ride I had some Coolant on my motor and after my 1st ride was done the Coolant in the Fill Bottle has drop a lot, well after checking to see where it was coming from, it looks like I found it (maybe)
the dumb asset clamp at the hose into the motor does not hold it tight. Will install new hose clamp ;-)

Can I use any other brand of Coolant or do I need to use the
Polaris 60/40 Anti-Freeze / Coolant ?

This is good compadre, I like to hear this kind of information just in case I'm rich like you and can buy a 900. Anyway sense we are talking technical, just want to report that yesterday with Papa's help I order 1 1/2 spacers for the front of my Ranger.

Cisco,

I had this same question before and my research says you can use other mfr's coolants. However, Polaris probably has some special additives above what the run of the mill glycol coolants at AutoZone have.

I would recommend you think about "Engine Ice" which you can but at most shops, or maybe this Amsoil stuff which is really good http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/ant.aspx

Hope that helps, but if you burn it up, this post will self destruct in 30 seconds... LOL!!!:D

Dan ...

any atv coolant will be fine.

which hose was leaking? I have about 240 miles on mine, no leaks.

Here the pic with the fix, I think I going to change the other clamps too ;-)
It's the big hose and you can see the orig clamp on the hose down a bit ;-)

Can you post a pic of where/how the front of trailing arm attaches to the chassis?

Trying to understand the suspension on the XP.

Cisco!!! My was smelling on the ride too along with losing coolant. I am going to drain down the system and replace those cheap clamps.
