HOW TO HOOK UP YOUR INTERCOM and RADIO using the Vertex Standard VX2200 50watt Radio and Rugged RRP660 Race/Play Intercom
1) Make sure you have your radio, intercom, and radio jumper out and ready
2) Next take the grey serial plug from the CJ-VX4200 and connect it to the radio via the set screws.
3) Plug the male 3.5mm jack into the female outlet, it may look like your looping it back to the radio which is normal
4) Plug the 5 pin Male into the 5pin Female. Just as a reminder we added the Green bands to assist you during your install
5) Plug the molex connector from the radio into the power lead you hooked up to your power source
6) Plug the molex connector from the Intercom into the power lead you hooked up to your power source
7) Plug your headset cables in the appropriate positions
7.1) This is what all the plugs should look like when installing a two person intercom system using the push to talk buttons on the headsets
8) Turn your radio on and make sure the orange light turns on on the radio as well as the blue light on the intercom. Test communications to ensure everything is hooked up correctly.
