Round 4 WORCS Sand Hollow...

Go to youtube, search Sand Hollow Utah, you'll see why I asked.

I wonder if they are racing within the Park....If so that is some soft sand. There are some fun sand trails and some hard pack farther out. Might have to go watch this one..

After watching the video, I wonder how much of the area will be closed off. I would be fun to watch and the dune to the next viewing spot.

Here are some quick track facts:

Track Length: The Adult loop is currently at 16 miles. The Youth smaller loop is currently at 5.5 miles. The Peewee course is the challenge but it will be about 2 miles long and use the beach section of the park and some surrounging sand that we will water heavily. Track map click the PDF icon.

Tire Choice: The track is varried from 100% sand at the start to Sand Stone slick rock section and fast gravel transiontion areas. The sand dunes are not enormous but they are plenty big. Intermediate tires will be the best overall. A full sand tire will not survive the slick rock sections and there is enought of it.
Where can we go: You can go anywhere within the state park but you will not be able to take a pit bike or spectatate in any BLM areas. The only opportunity to see the track will be as a racer or sign up to do the family fun run Saturday night. This will be a guided loop around the course close to sunset. You do not want to miss it. No 85cc B level riders and up are welcome.
The Camping and Pits: The camping and pits are very spread out. There is almost a mile from the begining to the end so bring a pit bike or something to ride. The amateur pit will be easily accessed. We will be broadcasting our announcer on an FM channel so you will need your pit radios tuned to know the where and when.
Water and RV Dump: Both are available at the campground. I am unsure if there is a dump fee but water is free.
Legal requirments for motorcycle, ATV and SXS: This is a closed course race so the same rules apply as they do at any WORCS event. However, if you get there early and go riding you will be required to have a Flag, Bike registration etc. Please go to the following website http://www.stateparks.utah.gov/parks/sand-hollow/ohv. There is no riding beyond our designated area in the State Park so please respect that. This is the first ever closure of this park for a race to let be good patrons and police our neighbors as well.
Trash: There are dumpsters at the entrance of each campground each person is responsible to put their trash in the dumpster.
Fishing and Boating: You are right on the lake at this event so take advantage of excellent bass fishing and boating. You can rent boats right at the park and OHV's as well. Get a temporary fishing license and catch a good fish story.
Gate Hours: The gates will open at 6am each day and close at 10pm. The state park will not varry their ours so there is no work around for getting back late. There is parking outside just in case though.

Just got a VIP spot reserved. I'll be there most of the day Friday, as well as race day.
Cant wait!

Can I bring my stand up jetskis to ride at the lake or is it a fishing only lake? Do they allow 2 strokes on the lake?

Hey guys I am flying into vegas on Friday and was wondering if anyone was coming through vegas on their way to sand hollow. I will be riding back with my team, I just am trying to get out there. If you have been to any other races this season we have probably met, so if you have an extra seat I can kick you some gas money. send me a message or comment pls

Hope you guys are ready for the course, its not your typical WORCS race.
Slick rock, dunes and desert. It's awesome!

Darn parkway.. How can 'they' be doing that. Isn't it (or wasn't Warner Valley BLM land?). I know that a local UTV club was maintaining it...what happens to that aspect of area?

(thread hijack)..
