Rage at the River Poker Run, Pirate Cove Resort January 25-27

Just heard that Pirate Cove Resort in Needles/Park Moabi on the Colorado River is having their first off-road poker run event January 25-26-27. The poker run is on Saturday (a 40-mile course) with entertainment, full restaurant & bar, camping (dry and full-hook-ups) -- a $50 buy-in for the first hand, only $15 for extra hands. Sounds like it might be a blast. Their info line is 760-326-9000, ext. "O" for registration. Should be a good weekend -- no NFL football!

The 40-mile course looks pretty cool. Leave the start at Pirate Cove, go north along the river bank for about 10 miles, then turn west on Monumental Pass trail for another 12 and finally a turn back to the southeast for a 15-16 mile run on the Needles/Ludlow truck trail. Should be four good card stops along the way -- McKenzie's will most likely be one for sure.
