Paddle tires that kick butt in the sand

We just installed a set of Sandtires Unlimited paddle tires on a rhino with Lonestar Midtravel and it went awesome. The tires are cast as a 32 paddle and they can be cut into a 16 or 8 paddle and can also be comp cut to shave approx 4lbs off each tire. Ours were not comp cut, but they work and look bad a$$. They are 12x11 and we mounted them on spun aluminum whees that are 12x10. Awesome flotation and drew alot of attention at Glamis. :D

The tires are more spendy than an ITP paddle but have a much softer sidewall and are lighter as well which means more HP to the ground.

They are 26 tall and are pretty light weight. We Just go back from glamis and need to unload the camera. Will have pics by Sunday night

Problem with those tires is that you have to .... HAVE To have them comp cut to match the HP you ACTUALY HAVE. I tested some comp cut ones with 16 paddles. They were faster then the 8 cup extremes in the 100 FT mark. Then too much paddle and the car would not rev out as hard. If the paddles are cut to the HP you have and clutched right they will work great ....... no question. Are they worth the extra cash over the 8 cup extremes? ...... not IMO. I got mine CHEAP from someone who also thought they sucked.

Hey sorry it took me so long to get the pics posted. I swear Christmas is tomorrow!! Any way here are the pics of the Rhino with the paddle tires we installed.

we tried many different tire combos and we liked the sandblasters the best, as you start to loose some momentum at the tops of hills the narrower and stiffer tires had a tendancy to dig down. the sand blasters would float more, there have been a few times we have been accused of having a bunch of engine work done because we could make a steep hill climb that people running other tires couldnt. i think with utv's it's also important to have a lite weight tire and wheel combo, especially in the sand.:D

I agree, that is why most run Skattrak extremes.

those STU's are too heavy and big for the underpowered SxS's.

Don't get me wrong, STUS are great for Sandcars, and I run them and have for over ten years.
