Massimo T-Boss 410 metal noise

I have a brand new, 2 week old, T-Boss 410 which makes a substantial metal-on-metal noise with the differential locked, or in reverse. Because it does it in 2wd reverse, I am not suspecting the differential. This being my first UTV, and it being a small engine (350 cc), is it just engine noise under low gear load?

I haven't been able to recreate it at all in either 2wd or 4wd high, but does it every time in 4wd low and reverse.
