The 2015 Race Season is just around the corner, and Rugged Radios would like to remind everyone about our helmets, head/neck restraints, and related accessories.
Some race associations are updating their helmet safety requirements for the upcoming season, so please make sure your helmet will meet those requirements. Here are the helmet safety requirements that have been confirmed for next season so far:
Ultra4: For 2015, they are now requiring racers to have a SA2010/M2010 rated helmet.
LOORS: Effective 1-1-2015 the rule will follow Snell Memorial Foundation guidelines and have a minimum requirement of the current rating or one prior rating only. (SA2010)
SNORE: Starting January 1, 2015, all SA/2000 Helmets will no longer be accepted. They must be SA2005 or newer.
MORE: Starting January 1, 2015, all SA/2000 Helmets will no longer be accepted. They must be SA2005 or newer.
BITD: Helmets must be approved by one of the following: M2000/SA2000 or newer.

If your current helmet is out of date, or doesn't have a rating, take a look at our selection. When you purchase a helmet from Rugged, we install a helmet kit and waive the $50 installation fee. Our highly trained technicians install each helmet kit properly so you get the best audio performance while racing. During installation, helmets are not modified in any way, so helmet integrity is not at risk.
