The entries for the Finke Desert Race in central Australia have closed and the SXS/UTV class has equaled the the class with the second highest amount of competitors entered in only the 3rd year of possible competition in their own class.

The Finke race consists of 2 legs of a sprint about 3 hours in duration per day, Day 1 a leg out and day 2 reverse that leg back in.
Not too sure of the intricacies but one thing that was on the entry is the class is up to 1200cc which may get a few of the WORCCS racing guys saying finally I can use that big bore kit!!
Its one of the 2 biggest off-road events for the year and was the premier event for many years until the 5 day Australasian Safari came along. A possible 2-4 cars per container could make this one of the best and cheapest overseas racing trips ever!!
