Dragonfire at Round #7 WORCS Race at Glen Helen Raceway

Once again it was an awesome day for the Dragonfire Team at Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, CA. In a packed field of 42 UTV’s both William Yokley & Kyle Melville found themselves in a heated battle of WORCS racing.

Class 1 - William Yokley was first off the line and found himself in 4th after the world famous Talladega first turn. He showed all of us how well the Dragonfire XP 955 Big Bore worked up the massive first hill passing on the outside to take 2nd. Yokley was able to keep his head down and fight it out, with the rough track and talented field to a 2nd place finish. This makes him in the series point’s leader with a 36 point lead over second place Mark Holz with only 2 more rounds to go.

In Class 2 Kyle Melville put the power down and got himself a hole shot into turn one. Starting in the second row of 12 UTV’s in his class. Kyle had his work cut out for him to chase down the field with nothing more than bolt on Dragonfire Performance & Suspension. Kyle drove a great race and showed everyone why he is one of the best. Kyle was able to keep his cool and fight his way through the pack to take a 1st place finish. Kyle placed 8th for the overall race, beating out 9 of the 16 class 1 racer’s.

All in all Dragonfire Racing team members William Yokley & Kyle Melville had a great race. With round 8 just around the corner both racers and crews are doing their best to keep up the good work and put Dragonfire on top again. Special thanks go out to WORCS racing for putting on such a great event. We all look forward to the next race at Race Town in Adelanto, CA.

Thanks guys! And thank you to Dragonfire for making their way out to see the tremendous growth in the UTV classes in the WORCS series just in the last year. That win wouldn't have been possible without the prep work of Darin McGuffin at All Valley Carburetors and the team at Dragonfire for sticking behind me another year. Their products are race proven in the WORCS series as well as desert racing. Currently leading the desert AVE series points, I hope to clinch that title for the Dragonfire team and come back swinging next year. I hope to run the WORCS full series next year as well as some other desert races. Taking this year off of WORCS and focusing on reading terrain in the desert really paid off this passed weekend at Glen Helen. THank you again to Dragonfire Racing, All Valley Carburetors, DJ Safety, Go Racer Tech, EPI Performance, ITP tires, and my other sponsors for making my RZR what it is today.
