We learned over two years ago that the only way to truly keep the CVT system cool is to add an extra volume of fresh cool air to the system. It is impossible to add the extra volume of air to the system by simply putting a blower in line in the stock system and in many cases this can actually restrict the stock system.
A stand alone system that increases the overall volume of cooling air is the way to go.
Our "Quick Draw" for the XP1000 and XPT "Blaster II" does just that. Although, they work on slightly different principles the results are the same. Bottom line, to truly keep CVT temps in check you need to have a larger volume of air feeding the system and you just can't get there with something inline with the stock intake system.
We have been quietly proving our kits in GNCC, Ultra4, Baja etc... with great results.
At last weekend's Ultra4 GP at Glen Helen out of a field of 16 RZR's five racers were running our kit. Actually, Phil Blurton #4501 was having issues keeping belts on his car at practice, so we discussed our kit which he decided to try. He had zero belt issues in the main event.. that works!!!
One last word would be about adding filtration to the CVT system. This adds to drive component life by simply keeping the large particles and grit out. Large particles and grit tend to gum up the drive components, flat spotting rollers and sliders and put undo wear on the sheaves and belt. We build filter kits for all of the most popular RZR models which have been tested and proven.
