Cracked CV Case!!?

Broke a CV case? out in Glamis this past weekend. Was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and how something like this would happen?

landing a jump under power. coming down on one wheel with the tires spinning. things of that nature.

happen to me in a 2 seat 900 back in the day, i was bombing down buggy highway pulled off into the flats to chill and bang broken cv.

All the things Airdam said can break or fatigue them, CV's are wear items, they will need rebuilt eventually.

Aaaaa.. the Blooming flower!!! yes it happens. Blew one in the rocks and it looked just like that. Heat, thin housings and sever axle angles at full droop = Boom!!!. We run limiting straps to reduce CV angle some at full droop. Also a big help when you get your new ones is to remove the grease they come with and pack them with good stuff.
