Primm, NV (10/24/2014) – The Blingstar / Polaris Race Team headed to Primm, NV just outside Las Vegas to compete at the final round of the WORCS Racing Series. There, the team of Clint Roberts and Nick Nelson would capture their best finishes this season in the WORCS Racing SxS Pro Class.

Clint Roberts got off to a great start with his CT built Polaris XP 1000 as his DWT Tires hooked up so strong down the first straight away, he grabbed a convincing holeshot in the second row of the WORCS Racing SxS Pro Class. The number 24 of Clint Roberts ran hard for all four laps navigating the rough course that got more challenging with every passing lap. After several passes and eventually catching up to the first row that started 60 seconds in front of him. He moved into sixth in the WORCS Racing Pro Class by lap three where he would remain before crossing the finish line in his Polaris RZR XP 1000.

“We really just focused on getting a good practice in and getting a good start during the race and finishing strong. On the last 2 laps, I think my aftermarket radiator may have lost some fluid, which caused my car to run a little hot, and it kept sputtering on the long straight sections. I think that may have cost me a position but other than that, the Polaris XP 1000 ran powerful all 4 laps and I was stoked to finish 6th considering the bad luck and mishaps I have had the previous 8 rounds of racing. The team is looking forward to next year and I know were going to have a solid program in 2015. Without a doubt we will be championship contenders,†said Clint Roberts.

“My JRi Shocks were performing superb and there was one particular rhythm section everybody else was struggling with, but my Polaris RZR XP 1000 equipped with JRi shocks helped smooth out the rough bumps and I actually gained several seconds each lap in this section. It is amazing how well the Polaris RZR XP 1000 holds up under harsh conditions. I am pumped that we have the best manufacturer behind us!†explained Clint Roberts.

Finishing just 15 seconds behind Clint Roberts was Nick Nelson who finished in seventh place. Nelson got off to a decent start towards the front of the pack. On the second turn Nelson was battling with another car when the two sideswiped one another, but Nelson’s Blingstar Nerfbars deflected the blow, which saved the tires from clipping which saved him from breaking an axle. Unfortunately, Nelson nearly spun out in a slick part of the track a few corners afterwards. Nelson then had some ground to make up and he did just that. After making five or so passes, Nelson secured seventh place and was catching his teammate Clint Roberts.

“I was within seventy-five feet of Clint [Roberts] when we came through scoring on the last lap and I didn’t realize my door nets came loose and they directed me into the pits to put them back up which cost me some time,†said Nick Nelson

After making the unplanned pitstop, Nelson came back on the track to finish the last and final lap where he took over seventh place once again before the finish.

The Blingstar / Polaris RZR XP 1000 Race Team will be back once again for the 2015 WORCS Racing season. The team is excited for the new season to start as they are beginning to put together their race program for 2015 as there will be several changes to ensure better finishes at each round in their hunt to the 2015 WORCS Racing Series SxS Pro Championship.
