Speedy had another successful race weekend. Speedy shot off the line and headed into turn one battling back and forth between second and third. Coming out of turn two he was in third and locked on the bumpers of first and second. They all battled it out for the entire first lap until the first place driver got a flat and had to pull into the pits. Speedy was now in second and on lap two he blew a tire and had to come into the pits for a quick fix. As he left the pits he was now in third. Unfortunately not long after that he blew out another tire and had to do the entire lap until he was able to pull back into the pits to get it fixed. As he came back into the pits for his second tire change we had noticed that his front end suspension was starting to fall apart. After he pulled back onto the track he was now in fourth, with this front end falling apart he knew he had to drive smart but still have to push. He held off fifth place for the remainder of the race and crossed the finish line in just under one hour earning a solid fourth place finish. Speedy still has second place locked up in the championship point’s race.

"I can’t thank all my amazing sponsors enough for getting me to the position I am in now; Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports, UTVUnderground.com, Bert’s UTV, Alba Racing, Triumph Motorsports, Ernie the Attorney Racing, Dow Hydraulics, Ed The Suspension Guy, Summers Brothers Racing, and Mitch’s Automotive.†Speedy said after the race.

Next weekend Speedy heads to Perris MX for round 5 of The Dirt Series!

JOSEPH "JOEY D" DIGIOVANNI #570

Round 6 of the WORCS racing series would be the first round that I would ever compete in. Due to Cody Rahders heated points battle at Lucas Oil in the UTVUnderground.com Polaris RZR XP900 he would not be able to compete at WORCS, instead he would go to Glen Helen to continue his quest for a championship there. This left me to get my first taste of racing at WORCS representing Cody in the Polaris / UTVUnderground.com / FOX RZR 570 sponsored by Black Rhino.

I had never driven the 570 before and due to my rough work schedule that week I was unable to be at practice Friday. This meant my first taste of racing the 570 would come with no seat time adding even more pressure to do well. Doug Rahders supplied me with a well prepped and ready to race machine while FOX dialed me in with a new IMPACT by Mastercraft Fire suit and Helmet ensuring I was protected and looking pro! I decided to stage early which tuned out to be a good decision since I was able to get the inside line at the starting gate. When the green flag dropped I raced to the inside corner putting me in a position to go for the hole shot. Turn one caught me off guard and with no seat time I put the 570 into a bicycle. Luckily I pulled it off and came out of turn 2 in 3rd place.

I quickly settled into a groove and battled with the Walker Evans Racing Polaris 570 the entire race. Swapping positions many times, competing for the 3rd place position. The battle went on
for 5 laps until I over shot an infield double trying to stretch it into a triple leaving me dazed and confused and allowing the Walker Evans RZR 570 to get by me. By the time I realized my machine was fine he was already putting time on me. I put the pedal down and began to push hard reeling him back in at the desert section of the course but just before we began to work our way to the finish my aggressive driving caused me to blow a turn and high center on a hay bale forcing me to have to reverse off before getting back going. This would allow the WER 570 to get away and thus leave me in the 4th position for the race.

Despite finishing off the box I was very happy with my first performance at WORCS and hope to be able to race again. I would like to thank my sponsors: Polaris Industries, FOX, Cognito Motorsports, UTVUnderground.com, Black Rhino, the Rahder’s Family and all the other fine sponsors of this awesome Polaris RZR 570! I would also like to thank the staff's at WORCS and Pala Raceway for putting on a fantastic race!
