08/14/13 El Cajon, CA â€“ Black Rhino/RacerX sponsored drivers Bryan Osborn, Michael â€œSpeedyâ€ Gonzales and Cody Rahders race reports from Round 7 of the WORCS Series held at Glen Helen MX Park in Devore, CA.

BRYAN OSBORN

â€œI Had an alright weekend at the WORCS Glen Helen race. We rushed to get the car put together a week before a race; I didnâ€™t even get the engine back until Tuesday. A huge thanks to our newest engine sponsor Brandon from First Turn Performance. We got the radiator moved to the back and a nice new ITI sway bar in the rear.

Sean at Black Rhino was able to get the car all put together for me in just a week which was awesome, couldnâ€™t thank him more for that.

We finally got out to the track late Friday night so we were not able to get any practice laps on the track. We then got to the starting gate not knowing how the car was going to work with all the new changes to it.

When the green flag dropped I dropped the throttle and was able to pull off a hole shot thanks to my GMZ tires and hold onto the lead around the first lap until I pushed wide on a turn and second was able to get by.

I just paced the car to see how they ran the track and I was beginning to run them down when my belt broke in the middle of a sand wash in the desert section.â€

â€œRound 7 recap- The race started great! Was second out of the hole and stayed locked on the bumper of first place the entire first lap until the issues began. From there on I was getting a lap almost every lap and having to pull into the pits. I ended the day with four flat tires and a bent radius rod which landed me with a disappointing 10th place. I still have second place in the championship pointâ€™s raceâ€ ~ Speedy

CODY RAHDERS

For Round 7 of the WORCS Series Cody decided to play double duty racing two UTV classes where he took another 2nd in the Production 700 class followed by an 8th in the Pro Production classâ€¦racing the Polaris RZR570.

In the Production 700 Class Cody pulled a 2nd place start, and basically maintained that position to the finish.

â€œI got held up behind and 850 class car pretty bad on lap 2, once I got passed the leader was gone. In the technical sections I can make up time but our cars are pretty even and he had such a lead there wasnâ€™t much I could do.â€

After the Production 700 race the car was pulled into the hot pits where it was given a quick once over, topped off with fuel, then lined back up to take on the Pro drivers in production 1000.

â€œI have scheduling conflicts with the next two events so unfortunately this is my last WORCS race this season. I wanted to see how the 570 would do in the Pro class so we signed up.â€

Cody lined up in row three six cars wide and when the green flew, he was easily out powered down the Glen Helen Talladega start straight putting him dead last out of 21 entries in Pro Production but he quickly went to work on the pack.

â€œThe 570 is very quick but way slower than the Pro cars so I just drive into the corners deeper and carried more corner speed, it works. People see the 570 pass them and do one of two things, ram me or give up, it was so fun.â€

By lap four Cody was in 11th place but got a right rear flat about as far away from the pits as you could be and limped it back in losing several positions in the process.

Once the tire was changed he went back out and pushed hard finishing 8th overall in the Pro Production class driving the RZR570.

â€œI over drove the 570 so hard, there were broken cars everywhere but it hung in there until the end. I beat that thing to death in back to back races and it took it, the RZR570 is a great car!â€
