With all this talk about cutting out part of this years baja 1000 course, marc thought it would be a good idea if the UTV entrants chimed in here before roger makes a unilateral decision. The 1905 entrant of mb motorsports votes that we man up and race the full distance and same course as outlined in the recently released map of the course. Many of us have already per ran the course based on the official map as released by score and speaking for ourselves, we do not want those efforts to be in vain. We all worked hard to make this a respected class, and not to race the full course as outlined in the score course map would be a step backwards. C'mon guys, its time to stand up for the PRO UTV class.

For those who think Baja is just to hard due to the varied terrain or vast miles the course covers, or the logistics of a race this size is too challenging. Then I suggest you race BITD (Blade in the Desert) or the lower cost AVI Pure SideXSide series. Both are great series and considerably easier then Baja. Casey damn near holds your hand as he sets up all these really nice pits for you compared to what you will fined in Baja.

Also one more thing to think about. UTV's have 4 wheel drive and should have little to no issues in the silt. This could be a huge plus as other classes are getting stuck the UTV could make up a lot of time & ground and possibly have a better finishing time, proving again the the UTV's have a place in the sport.

Cognito is in for FULL course:) PS...I believe this has already been brought up in the OG baja 1000 thread
