Anyone upgraded engine Polaris 6x6

Fourup

The Dalek
In vein hope I ask if anyone has ever upgraded the motor in a 2010+ Polaris Ranger 6x6.

There are places I want to go with this rig ( and 6x6 is best I can get an air shock kit to smooth the ride) and amendment s I want to make to it as a 4 seater observational/shooting/filming/chase vehicle and I want more meat in my sandwich when I put the foot down.

Torque is king so a Rotax replacement would be my first choice until somebody tells me something better I'd probably like to keep the CVT for now so there's less for the driver to worry about if there are other things to do.

Its just developing a concept at this stage, nothing concrete and I have to admit where I live actually seeing one in the flesh let alone in the engine bay has been out of reach so I dont know if its a tight fit or all the space in the world.

If anyone has some experience appreciate your input. ;)

Are you talking about one of these ?

Yeah I have seen this one around before by Moto-art but I believe he started with a Standard Ranger and added a 3rd axle not sure if its 6x6. I'll have to go to the Moto-Art site again and check the project.

Also what I am looking for with the 2nd row of seats is that they are elevated enough they see above the roof of the first row for camera's, viewing, spot lighting etc

The tipping bed of the 6x6 comes in handy for one aspect of the design too, so its not just as straight forward as the Moto-art truck which was not straight forward!

But the design I will do is relatively easy in cutting the tray short puting in the seat/seats and the custom roll cage aren't rocket science but doing it well and making it look good takes a good company.

But yeah a little more poke than the standard 760cc would be nice escecially if it comes to 4wding and it will be an intended use of the vehicle hence the 6x6. ;)

No your right they did use the standard 6x6 the standard cage they have isnt what I'm after and I want to chop the bed back and keep whats left or even just move that back with the suspension moving both front and rear to spread that load. They do all that suspension and the shock kit seems to be on every ones rig so theres $10k and then an engine upgrade on top of the body and cage upgrades may put it way out of reach when i can just check a bench in a std Ranger XP900 for $2k. Brings it back into perspective.

Yes I was looking for about a good 30 min. on utube and a lot of getterdone cars and the air shocks were interesting also .

Maybe I should see if someone has rolled one of these gently, bang on a distinctly SXS/UTV looking rollcage/body kit and scare the living bejeezus out of every brand rep I come across by disguising me and my vehicle in all black the Can Am did with the Mav. :D:D

Besides the Tomfoolery it seems its about $1500 for a Muzzy top end for 860cc instead of 760 and I presume the std CVT can handle that torque if not I'd address that later and putting a seat in the back with no roll approx $400 and two seats back to back with proper roll $4k.
