The old D-max Chase truck was starting to get a little worn with over 200K so I did a little hunting and came up with this 08 gasser with only 55K on it. We figured we have to change all the spares out in the truck anyway we may as well change the truck too. Stay tuned here as the new Jagged X / Polaris Racing Chase truck takes shape.

I am subscribed!!! I have been slowly turning my daily driver diesel into a support/chase truck. I am pretty much done but need to come up with a chase rack and am thinking a custom one will be the way to go. I want to be able to help AGM with their TT program and be able to carry 37" & 39" tires but then also make it to where I could carry smaller UTV tires as well. Anyway, I will be glued to this thread!

I'm here for the gangbang.

I would have done a chase rack with lights and whatnot if I didnt have to tow a fifth wheel......

So the first step was to visit the great guys at Western Truck Equipment. They hooked us up with a good deal on a nice Reading truck bed. This is a nice box with smooth doors and hidden hinges.
We hauled it over to CR Designs to have Chad throw down a matching white coat of paint. Whit is a good starting point for whatever color we decide to splash on Chase II.

While we had the bed off we bolted in a set of air bags to help manage the extra weight of the loaded utility box.

And I guess no better time to have the fine folks at Total Auto Pros install a 6" RCD lift kit to improve the stance of this rig.

Stand by!

Thats too bad:eek: We have all the GM truck fixes to keep that rig running solid for another 200K miles

Cognito Pitman/Idler kit
Cognito HD Idler pivot with weld in Gusset
Cognito HD heim Tie rod kit
Cognito 4-6" Cognito kit
Cognito Uni ball UCA's
Cognito Limit strap kit to keep that Upper Joint from killin itself
and last but not least a set of fox shocks to smooth out the ride:cool:

What kind of air system? York compressor or 12volt?

If I remember correctly the last truck held the utv above the boxes, did that work out? Too top heavy? Rather have it in an enclosed trailer?

No York, it will be electric, also no car on top...it wouldn't fit anyway and was pretty hard on the box on the other chase truck.

The old truck is still on the scene. Chad from CR designs will be using it for his painting business and as a secondary truck for our team.

We put together a little back bumper. Should serve as good workspace if needed. And help us in those crowded parking lots at BITD races.
