4 seat Teryx build

I've been wanting to build a 4 seat teryx for some time now. The goal was to put all the seats between the wheels, increase ground clearance, and travel. Well my friends and I have started.

After taking it apart you get to have the fun of cutting your machine in half. Positioning it as a short bus and welding in a new center section. Looks a little strange at this point.

Thats Ed and Brett with a little Ta kill ya

Thanks, I wish I had some input on the teryx 4. I'm sure Reid did a good job with the specs. This is my take on what it should be.
Here's a solid works rendering of the finished teryx.

It's slow going but we do have some progress to share. You know if it weren't for a couple a kids I could do this a lot faster!

A few more of it tack welded with the boated sides, rear bar, and dash bar. At least now it's starting to take shape. Sure looks wide doesn't it!

Lets call it the fatster or fat4seater no when we get the Aarms on it it will look just fine. Damn I have a lot of crap in that shop !!

Yes Ed, You do have a lot of stuff in your shop. We give you a lot of crap for it, but I have to say I love all the old signs. They are just plain cool.

This car will have a +6 A arms and a +3 forward and reverse sweep. If you've seen cuflipn / Brett Carters rex then imagine this one as the same except being 2 feet longer, without the fancy steering and a little less attitude. It'll be what Kawi should have built.;)

Yes, I'll be building my own suspension at +6. I should actually say I'll be standing there handing parts to Brett Carter as he builds my A Arms.

I have to give a huge shout out to Ed for letting me invade his shop for the winter while we build this thing! Although if it wasn't for Ed and his Tequila shots I may not have cut this in half in the first place.

I've got great friends!!!!

Hey Aaron don't keep talking about the Tequila shots the ISA or SSA or BSS or what ever they call them selfs may find out we had FUN and built all the part our selfs then we would have fallow the rules !! HAHAHAHA I don't do that very well.

Ed, Brett, and I have had a busy weekend building the T4. Check out a few pics of our progress. It's taking shape and I'm very happy with the results so far. Let me know what you guys think.

Your build is coming together nicely Aaron!! This thing is going to kill in Moab!!!! :D

Thanks for the responses. I'm happy with the way its turning out. Tonight I was able to put the cross members in the roof and one of the boated side braces. Just trying to do a little at a time.

I'm happy Kawasaki came out with a new 4 seater but they missed the mark by a long shot. Good rig but not what I'm looking for. If I wanted a front engine 4 seater I'd build a formula toyota.

The build is comming out very nice. Kawasaki should have you guys build them a real 4 that can hold up out in the desert right out of the box!

KEEP UP THE HARD WORK.

Hey Aaron great looking fabrication so far dude. :)

If you are talking about building the SXS Kwak should have built (or ARE building) though I take it you are building a 2 seat mid mount engine at the present K4 length with suspension geometry at your leisure but a trailing rear arm system?? :D:D:D

Or was that meant to be the surprise outcome at the end of the build and I've just spilled the beans on it? ;)

If you aren't building a 2 seat racer make sure you save all your dimensions for someone who will!! ;)

Mochos Cudos on the build man, love a good design and fabrication.
