The 2012 BITD UTV series will be the best yet! There will be many new UTV racers, our UTV count should be consistantly 20+. Several manufactures will be offering contingency, Can Am has confirmed their program (Can Am will have a contingency program for BITD this year, for the Pro UTV class, they will pay (per race) $1000 for 1st, $500 for 2nd, $250 for third and $2500 for the points championship. Requirments are that you must be racing a Can Am Commander and preregester with Can Am. Can Am is also offering a $1000 towards the purchase of a Commander that will be used for racing in any series. Contact me to find out more details.<!-- google_ad_section_end --> Polaris will be at the Parker "Dual in the Desert" race with a special announcment. John Deere and Articat will have their new sport UTV's available for purchase very soon. Jamie Fagan is our new contingency manager, she will be at tech checking for compliance and providing the necessary decals. Jamie is also searching for more companies to provide contingency for our UTV classes. You can contact her at glamisgurlie2@aol.com . I will post a list of all the companies providing UTV contingency soon and there should be a list in your race packett at Parker. There are no rule changes planned for the UTV and DSR1 classes for 2012. Last but not least the UTVs are racing in the famous Mint 400 race. If you only go to one race this year, this is the one. There is nothing like contingency on Freemont street. This was my big first race, it was 1979 and I rode with my brother in a class 2 Chenowth. The girls flashing me at contingency and in the pits, staying up all night because I was so nervous, falling a sleep in the buggy during the race, I will never forget that one! I am very excited for this new season of UTV racing with Best In The Desert. We are the fastest growing class at BITD, Thank you to all for racing with us. Merry Christmas and have a Safe and Happy new years. See ya at the "Dual in the Desert" <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
