Raber Racing - UTVUnderground Approved

What does it feel like to do over 100mph in a UTV? Come testing as Raber Racing prepares for the epic Mint 400 and you can find out. Nothing is more dangerous or scarey that breaking the 100mph mark and loosing a tire. As we put together this amazing car we have been seeking a tire worthy of the speeds we are now capable of. We need a safe and reliable tire.

Having two championshiops under our belt we know first hand the impact of flat tires. A single flat tire can cost a race. We have experienced this even when we were by far the fastest car in the field. It does no good to push a cars limits only to stop and change a flat. We need a durable tire.

In the Best in the Desert DSR1 class our cars are powered by a motorcycle engine of up to 1000cc. When the conversion is done we loose 4wd. Driving in 2wd means spinning tires and less traction than running 4wd. Attacking a silt bed can be difficult with skinney tires that have short tread blocks. Getting stuck in a silt bed can cost a motor and a race. We need a tire with excellent traction.

There is only one tire on the market that fits ALL our needs. That tire is the Pit Bull Growler. They have an 8 ply sidewall, over 1" tread depth, and patented super sticky yet durable UBER rubber.

In 2010 we tried the 27.5 Pit bull Growlers on our Kawasaki Teryx. We were amazed at the traction and durability of the tires. Notice how big the tires are.

The added traction of these tires over our previous tire was amazing. We were pulling over and out of washes without any noticable wheel spin. On one occasion a competator said they could hardly get close enough to pass because of all the dirt/rocks the tires threw up behind the car. In desert racing that is a good thing!!

After pulling off the overall win at the 2012 Parker 250 we noticed our passenger rear tire was almost flat. We are very lucky we finished the race. With a margin of less than 4 minutes we know we would have lost the race if we had to stop and change a flat tire. At that time we decided to call Pit Bull Tires and see if there was any chance we could land a sponsorship. We are thankfull to say Pit Bull stepped up and supported us as a race team for the 2012 BITD season!! In a time when sponsorships are hard to come by we want everyone to know Pit Bull is not afraid to step up and help the racing community. Thank you Pit Bull!!

We are proud to represent Pit Bull tires at the Mint 400. Check us out to see our totally new look and professional wrap. You can get all the details on the tires we are running here.
