Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

Yes, I do see a positive vain in this thread, and I am still in contact with others here via PMs, I just won't be posting up in the public threads anymore. At least not to the extent that I have been. I want to avoid anymore backsliding. Thanks for wanting to learn more and get involved.

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

I'm gonna have to bow out here. I will be available if you guys want information or help getting with the right people in the AAT or OHV programs, but I don't have the time or desire to keep defending our group from the negativity here. Certain people here have my contact information if anyone...

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

Sounds like here say. I can assure you that we do NOT spend our time on the trail trying to make enemies. We go out of our way to be friendly, and if we get the abuse we frequently get from people just like some on this forum that don't like being told they can't do something, then we usually...

I would expect they will win because that law group actually has cash. They can stay the course and wear the environmental groups down, which is exactly what they have been doing to us for so long. Time to turn the table.

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

Not everybody throws up their hands PB. There are a shit ton of folks out there doing the work to get this stuff changed. We have close to 3500 people involved in the SBNF AAT program, and we all write letters, send emails, attend meetings and call congress persons and local reps. That's why it...

Not quite that easy but pretty much you have the right idea. Contact any ranger station in LPNF and they can tell you what trails are available for adoption and what is required.

Thats a great idea. Try and do it close to where you live. It would suck doing the drive to BB all the time for you. Call the ranger station at Hungry Valley OHV park or in Frazier Park (I believe). They will give you all the info you need to adopt a trail. They are in the Los Padres NF so the...

Yes, the meetings are always at the Sizzler in Corona, off Magnolia , first exit south of the 91/15 interchange, Same time, 6pm. They are quarterly. I will post the dates and times in a thread here on this forum for those who want to attend, then after a while one of you can take up that job.

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

I was only giving you back a small dose of your own bs. Listen, I agree with you that government needs to be changed. I don't like these laws, and rules and restrictions anymore than you do. None of us do. But it's a fact of life. A fact that we need to change. I already suggested spending all...

Apparently you know it all and got it all figured out, so come to the meetings and get the forest service straightened out. I'm sure they will bow down to your extensive knowledge and sweet disposition and do whatever you say.

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

I can't completely answer your question because I don't work for the forest service, but I can tell you that road and trail system in the forest is dynamic and it's changing more and more. Part of the issue with the road system is the fact that SBNF is one of the most heavily used forests in the...

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

OK, here we go. First of all, WE (AAT volunteers) do not dictate what trails get what designations. We don't work for the SBNF, we VOLUNTEER! We do what we can to help keep the trails open to everyone, but the Federal Government, there I said it, dictates the trail designations. There are so...

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

Come put your own good word in. We mention the hours so you might take a minute and realize how hard we had to work to get a closed trail reopened. We don't do this for the praise, we do it because we love off roading and all that comes with it. Well, almost everything...

Incident on 3N93 Holcomb Creek on Saturday 7-14-12

OK, I was ready to walk away from this BS forum but finally I see a point that I can work with here. What exactly do you do to fight for OUR rights in the off road world? I have a list as long as my arm as do all of the AAT volunteers I work with. We have representatives in local government that...
